TWD Dead City Season 2 Episode 7 Trailer: Maggie Captures The Croat As Negan Tries To Save Ginny (2025)

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2, episode 6!The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2, episode 7 trailer reveals Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has captured the Croat (Željko Ivanek) in her hunt for Hershel (Logan Kim) as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) tries to save Ginny's (Mahina Napoleon) life. Dead City season 2, episode 6 saw Hershel leave the group after they were taken in by Bruegel (Kim Coates), forcing Maggie to go after him. In the meantime, Ginny confronts Negan, only to collapse, the former antagonist taking her in after realizing something is wrong with her health.

Now, AMC (via WotNot) has released a new trailer for Dead City season 2, episode 7, showing Negan discovering Ginny's injury. To fight off a creeping infection, he and a team of Burazi go to a hospital overrun by Walkers, hoping to find medicine. In the meantime, Maggie finds and captures the Croat, who takes her to a building full of zombies that Hershel might be in. Both of their stories promise harrowing missions as they try and save the children they care about. Check out the new trailer below:

Hershel & Ginny's Fates Hang In The Balance

The upcoming episode of The Walking Dead spinoff sees both Ginny and Hershel in danger, though with one's situation more grave than the other. Hershel's connection to the Dama has seemingly won him over given his search for her, unaware that Negan killed her. Maggie recruiting the Croat shows how desperate she is to find her son, but could also result in a new ally given his recent banishment from the Burazi. As the characters in Dead City shift their allegiances, the story grows more complex ahead of what might be some major changes.

As for Negan, his attempt to save Ginny after her injury is a race against time, meaning he needs to be certain the hospital is still carrying medicine that can help her. Whether she makes it is unclear, but him saving her life could be what smooths things over for them after her latest attempt to avenge her father. But, with Bruegel making a backroom deal with Perlie (Gaius Charles) to unite with the New Babylon Federation, it seems like both protagonists and the children they care about are going to be facing bigger dangers soon.

The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2, episode 7 is the second-to-last of the season, indicating the results of rescuing Hershel and Ginny will be crucial to how the final episode plays out. The four characters have been trying to escape their circumstances in Manhattan since the start, despite the conflicts that have played out between them. Perhaps this latest episode will finally reveal a plan for their escape, and what it means for the future as events continue to unfold in the city.
